Delivery

Unless otherwise stated on the actual product's description, we dispatch items within 48 hours after payment received, Monday-Friday (excluding bank holidays).

All items sent in the UK are shipped via Royal Mail tracked delivery. 

We currently only deliver inside the UK (Worldwide shipping coming soon)

 

Returns

Our returns policy lasts 28 days. If 28 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

1. In the unlikely event that you receive an item and it is found to be faulty/damaged, then we will refund the full price of the item including the original P&P costs, as well as the returns postage cost, or we can replace the item if you'd prefer.

2. If you change your mind about an item, or wish to return it for any other reason other than it being faulty/damaged, you are free to do so within the 30 day period, as long as you pay the return postage costs. We will refund you the full price of the item and the original P&P costs.

In any case, please contact us first before returning the item so that we know to expect it.

Please include a note in the package stating the reason for the return.

Competition Terms and Conditions

  • These terms & conditions are general and apply to social media and promotional competitions for the Lake District National Park Authority. 
  • The promoter is Lake District National Park Authority (LDNPA), whose offices are at Murley Moss, Oxenholme Road, Kendal, Cumbria, LA9 7RL.
  •   The prize provider is Lake District National Park Authority (LDNPA), whose offices are at Murley Moss, Oxenholme Road, Kendal, Cumbria, LA9 7RL.
  •   Competition is open to everyone except for employees of the Lake District National Park, their families or anyone else associated with this competition.
  •   There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
  •   No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
  •   The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice if something should happen outside of the promoter's control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
  •   No cash alternative to the prize will be offered. The prize is not transferable. The prize is subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
  •   The winner will be notified by email or DM within 28 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
  •   Should the winner be unable to take the prize, the prize will be passed to the second drawn entrant or donated to charity. 
  •   The promoter's decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  •   The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
  •   The prize winner agrees (as a condition of accepting the prize) to the use of his / her name, county of residence (if such prize winner is resident within the UK) or country of residence (if such prize winner is resident outside the UK) and one or more photograph of themselves in any publicity material and to co-operate with or participate in any other reasonable post-competition publicity. 
  •   Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant's prior consent. 
  •   This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter or any other social network. You are providing your information to LDNPA and not to any other party.
  •   Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of the competition terms and conditions.

 

Newsletter Sign Up

As part of the registration process for our newsletter, we collect some personal information, which we may use to contact you with promotional offers, exclusive member-only discounts, and various informative lifestyle featurettes. We don't rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.

We use a third party provider, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. 

You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails.

 

How do you get my consent?

 When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.

If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.

 

How do I withdraw my consent?

If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at anytime, by contacting us. 

You are entitled to access the personal information that we hold.

 We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms & Conditions.

 

Shopify

 Our shop is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

 

Payment

 If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

Third-party Services

 In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.

In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located a different jurisdiction than either you or us. Once you leave our store’s website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms & Conditions.

Security

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.

We use Google’s remarketing cookie to monitor which products you view on our website, then to display relevant adverts to you, suggesting similar products you may like, via Google’s own services and those of their partners throughout the internet. When someone visits we use Google's Analytics cookie, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behavior patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website. To opt-out of this service, users can visit the Google Analytics opt-out page and install the add-on for your browser. This will prevent your data from being collected by Google Analytics.

We use Facebook's Pixel on our website. This allows user behavior to be tracked after they have been redirected to the provider’s website by clicking on a Facebook ad. This enables us to measure the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes. The data collected in this way is anonymous to us, i.e. we do not see the personal data of individual users. This data is stored and processed by Facebook. You can allow Facebook and its partners to place ads on and off Facebook. A cookie may also be stored on your computer for these purposes. Our shop is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. The following is a list of cookies that we use via Shopify:

_session_id, unique token, sessional, Allows Shopify to store information about your session (referrer, landing page, etc).

_shopify_visit, no data held, Persistent for 30 minutes from the last visit, Used by our website provider’s internal stats tracker to record the number of visits

_shopify_uniq, no data held, expires midnight (relative to the visitor) of the next day, Counts the number of visits to a store by a single customer.

cart, unique token, persistent for 2 weeks, Stores information about the contents of your cart.

_secure_session_id, unique token, sessional

storefront_digest, unique token, indefinite If the shop has a password, this is used to determine if the current visitor has access.
